Attribution (BY)

You must give clear and prominent credit: name the original author (Ammon Salter, Warwick Business School, University of Warwick), include the suggested citation, state the licence, and indicate any changes made. Credit must appear in the work itself — for example on an about screen, a title slide, or a course handbook. You may not imply institutional endorsement without separate written permission.

NonCommercial (NC) — Educational Use

Permitted — Educational use: You may freely use this simulation in any educational context where the primary purpose is teaching and learning. This includes but is not limited to:

The key principle: if the setting is primarily educational and not structured as a paid commercial service, it is permitted. Educators are encouraged to adapt the simulation and share their innovations under the same licence.

NonCommercial (NC) — Commercial Use

Not permitted without a separate licence — Commercial use: A separate licence is required for contexts where the simulation is used as part of a paid commercial service, including:

The key principle: if participants or their sponsors are paying specifically for the experience and the simulation is a material part of what they receive, a commercial licence is needed.

Unsure whether your use qualifies? Contact the author — most educational uses are fine, and commercial licences are designed to be straightforward. Email ammon.salter@wbs.ac.uk.

ShareAlike (SA)

Derivative works must use the same licence (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) and make their source available to others. No additional legal restrictions or technological measures (DRM, paywalls) may be applied. The ShareAlike obligation applies to the whole work if it incorporates a substantial portion of this simulation.

No Additional Restrictions

You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the licence permits.
